Holy Spirit

HOLY SPIRIT

The Comforter

Spirit and Ghost are the same number, G4151. Holy Spirit 7X/ Holy Ghost used 90X.

G4151 is used 385X. Depending on context, it also includes unclean spirits, evil spirits, demon spirits, a spirit, the Spirit, wind, spiritually, spirit of life, spirit of slumber, Spirit of God, spirit of faith, of meekness, wisdom, the seven spirits of revelation, spirit of prophecy and spirit of LIFE. It is sometimes referred to in a way which emphasises His personality and character, and His work and power.

Since G4151 us used 385 times, we will just examine the 97 verses that use Holy Spirit and Holy Ghost.

Why did the KJV use the word Ghost 90X?

From holy spirit to Holy Ghost

by Paul Sumner

During the Middle Ages, Christian translators created a way to make the English Bible reflect their belief that the Holy Ghost was not the Holy Spirit.

These theologians coined the phrase "Holy Ghost" to designate the Third Person of the Trinity. In contrast, they used "Holy Spirit" to refer to the Spirit of God or Spirit of the LORD encountered by the Hebrews in the Old Testament.

Then, in the 16th century, Bible printers reinforced this distinction by introducing capital and small letters. In the OT they used "spirit" and "holy spirit." In the NT they printed "Spirit" and "Holy Ghost," but with subtle distinctions.

These translation and printing differences do not exist in the Bible itself (original manuscripts), in either Hebrew or Greek.

They are invented theological biases imported into the (English) Bible. They provided both verbal and visual validation for the already existing conviction that Christianity must be separated from its Hebrew foundations.

What about the implications of these biases? For example, if the Spirit of the Lord in the OT is not the Holy Ghost of the NT, when did the Spirit become the Ghost, another person in the godhead? Or are there two spirits in the godhead?

Most modern translations have discontinued the "Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit" distinction. But they still retain a misleading printing bias implying that the Ghost is not the Spirit.

King James Bible Data

The linguistic distinction between "Holy Ghost" and "Holy Spirit" is most readily evident in the King James (Authorized) Version of 1611.

In the KJV, "Holy Ghost" occurs 90 times only in its New Testament portion. The phrase "Holy Spirit" occurs four times in the NT. But in the original Greek there is no difference between "Holy Ghost" and "Holy Spirit."

Note that in these KJV texts the Greek words are identical:

pneuma= ghost, spirit; hagion = holy.

Matthew 1:18 — "she was found with child of the Holy Ghost [pneuma hagion]"

Matthew 3:11 — "he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost [pneuma hagion] and fire"

Luke 11:13 — "how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit [pneuma hagion]"

Ephesians 1:13 — "ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit [pneuma hagion] of promise"

The KJV translators were so consistent about maintaining the distinction between "Ghost" and "Spirit" that they broke a key verbal link between two adjoining verses:

Acts 16:6 — "they ... were forbidden by the Holy Ghost [hagion pneuma] to preach the word in Asia"

Acts 16:7 — "The Spirit [pneuma] of Jesus suffered [allowed] them not [to go into Bithynia]"

In context, these verses make a key link between the "Holy Ghost" and the "Spirit of Jesus." It tells readers that the resurrected Messiah himself superintends the messianic movement — by his invisible presence, his "Spirit" (pneuma), "the Holy Ghost" (hagion pneuma).

Throughout the KJV, it's evident that "Holy Ghost" is a proper noun for deity, and translators sought to protect the Holy Ghost's independent, co-equal, divine status. He must never be subordinate to or "possessed" by anyone. That is, we never find "the Ghost of Jesus," "the Ghost of God" or "the Ghost of your Father."

Likewise, God and Jesus never give or send "the Ghost," only "the Spirit" (John 3:34; 14:26; 15:26). And the article "the" always prefaces "Holy Ghost."

Luke 4:1 — "And Jesus, being full of the Holy Ghost ... was led by the spirit into the wilderness."

In other words: even though the sense of the Text is plain, the KJV priority is to teach us that "Ghost" is not a synonym of "Spirit."

The Other Spirit

In the four places where "Holy Spirit" occurs in the KJV New Testament, the context reflects an OT viewpoint (the Spirit is fore-promised, as in Joel) or one in which the Third Person is a dependent agent acted upon (given) by God or possessed by him (Spirit of ...).

Luke 11:13 — "How much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?"

Ephesians 1:13 — "Ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise"

Ephesians 4:30 — "Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, by whom ye are sealed"

1 Thessalonians 4:8 — "God . . . hath also given unto us his Holy Spirit"

The Holy Spirit in Ancient Israel

The phrase "Holy Spirit" occurs only three times in the KJV-OT:

Psalm 51:11 — "Take not your holy spirit from me"
Isaiah 63:10 — "They rebelled and vexed his holy spirit"
Isaiah 63:11 — "Where is he who put his holy spirit within him?"

In these passages the Septuagint (Greek Old Testament) has pneuma hagion, the same phrase used in the Greek NT for "Holy Ghost." The Hebrew behind the phrase is ruach qodesh. Ruach is the noun also used in the phrases "Spirit of God" and "Spirit of the LORD" throughout the OT. There are no separate terms in Hebrew to describe God's Spirit or his Holy Spirit. Ruach is Ruach.

In other words, there is no linguistic basis in the Bible for rendering either ruach or pneuma as both "Ghost" and "Spirit." The distinction lies within the minds of the translators.

The word "ghost" appears in some modern English NTs. The Greek word behind each is phantasma (Matt 14:26; Mark 6:49) or pneuma (Luke 24:37, 39) [ESV, HCSB, NASB, NIV].

BKJV (Before the KJV)

So far, we've focused on the King James Version of 1611. But the Ghost/Spirit difference existed in all major English versions prior to the KJV — dating back over 230 years toJohn Wycliffe's ground-breaking English version of 1380. Compare two verses in the KJV to five previous English versions. (Spellings are original.)

Matthew 1:18
KJV (1611) — she was found with child of the Holy Ghost
Rheims (1582) — she vvas found to be vvith childe by the Holy Ghost
Geneva (1557) — she was found wyth chylde of the holy goost
Cranmer (1539) — she was founde with chylde by the holy goost
Tyndale (1534) — she was founde with chylde by the holy goost
Wycliffe (1380) — sche was founde hauynge of the holy goost in the wombe

1 Thessalonians 4:8
KJV (1611) — God . . . has also giuen unto us his holy Spirit
Rheims (1582) — God . . . also hath giuen his holy Spirit in vs
Geneva (1557) — God . . . hath geuen you his holy Sprite
Cranmer (1539) — God . . . hath sent his holy sprete amonge you
Tyndale (1534) — God . . . hath sent his holy sprete amonge you
Wycliffe (1380) — god . . . also yaf his holi spirit in us

This shows that the KJV editors weren't innovators, but tradition bearers of a theological bias rooted not in the text of Scripture. This tradition did not start with Jerome's Latin Vulgate (5th century), the dominant Bible translation in the Western Christian church. It does not distinguish between "Holy Ghost" and "Holy Spirit," but reads "SPIRITUS SANCTUS" in all passages.

The spirit and the Spirit

This typographical distinction is used in all translations today. But not the same way.

In modern Roman Catholic versions (e.g., New Jerusalem Bible, New American Bible) and in liberal Protestant versions (such as Revised English Bible and New Revised Standard Version) we find two forms of the same word: spirit and Spirit, even though both spirits originate with God.

In each version, the form "spirit" (lower case initial letter) occurs in their OT portion, while the upper case form "Spirit" occurs only in their NT. Note that even the adjective "holy" is also distinguished in the New Revised Standard Version:

Psalm 51:11 — "Do not take your holy spirit from me"
Isaiah 63:10 — "They rebelled and grieved his holy spirit"
Isaiah 63:11 — "Where is the one who put within them his holy spirit"

Matthew 1:18 — "She was found to be of child from the Holy Spirit"
Matthew 3:11 — "He will baptize you with the
Holy Spirit"
Luke 11:13 — "How much more will the heavenly Father give the
Holy Spirit to those who ask him?"

Similarly, the editors of the Catholic New Jerusalem Bible print Isaiah 61:1 as:

The spirit of the LORD God is upon me.

Then, to be consistent, when they come to Yahshua's reading of this very passage and applying it to himself (Luke 4:18), they print his words as:

The spirit of the Lord is upon me.

In their consistency, these Catholic editors suggest that since Isaiah the prophet was a pre-Pentecost-Acts-2 Israelite, he didn't know about the Third Person of the Godhead. Therefore, Yahshua's quotation could not have referred to the Third Person. And that suggests Yahshua himself didn't know about the (Holy) Spirit; he only knew God's "spirit."

Again, the Latin Vulgate is not the source of this Roman Catholic distinction. It reads "SPIRITUS SANCTUS" (in caps) in all these verses.

Other English translations print "holy Spirit" in the OT and "Holy Spirit" in the NT (a subtle distinction without explanation). James Moffatt put "sacred Spirit" in his OT and "holy Spirit" throughout his NT. But today nearly all conservative Protestant versions print "Holy Spirit" in both OT and NT.

Clearly, editorial opinions exist on what the Bible should "say" — to uninformed readers.

Typography Isn't Inspired

There is no distinction in either Hebrew or ancient Greek between holy spirit, holy Spirit, and Holy Spirit. Biblical texts were written in letters of the same size. It is still true of Hebrew scrolls and printed Hebrew Bibles today.

HOLY SPIRIT   7X

A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in unto Bathsheba.

Psalm 51:11  Cast me not away from Thy presence; and take not Thy holy spirit from me.

Holy H6944 qodesh. Set apartness, sacredness. Spirit H7307 ruach. Life.

'Do not take Your Set-apart Spirit from me.'

Isaiah 63:8  For He said, Surely they are My people, children that will not lie: so He was their Saviour.

63:9  In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the angel (messenger) of His presence saved them: in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He bare them, and carried them all the days of old.

Judges 10:16  And they put away the strange gods from the midst of them, and served Yahweh only, and His soul was pained for the trouble of Israel.

63:10  But they rebelled, and vexed His holy Spirit (H6944- qodesh H7307- ruach)(Set-apart Spirit): therefore He was turned to be their enemy, and He fought against them.

63:11  Then He remembered the days of old, Moses, and His people, saying, Where is He that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of His flock? where is He that put His holy Spirit (H6944- qodesh H7307- ruach)(Set-apart Spirit) within him?

These 3 times holy spirit is used in the OT are implying that it is 'life'.

David prays that Yahweh does not take His (Yahweh's) life from him. Yahweh is life.

In Isaiah, the children of Israel rebel and grieved the One who gives them life. They provoked, grieved, pained, displeased, hurt, and angered Yahweh, and the very Way of Life. He put His life (Spirit, DNA) in Adam and when we rebel and vex His Ways we will not have access to The Holy Spirit, LIFE.

Luke 11:11  If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

11:12  Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

11:13  If ye then, being evil (base), know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?

Holy G40 hagios. Sacred, pure, set apart. Spirit G4151 pneuma. Christ's spirit. Life.

The Holy Spirit is LIFE.

The spirit, i.e. the vital principal by which the body is animated.

The rational spirit, the power by which the human being feels, thinks, decides.

A spirit, i.e. a simple essence, devoid of all or at least all grosser matter, and possessed of the power of knowing, desiring, deciding, and acting.

A life giving spirit.

The disposition or influence which fills and governs the souls of those of Adam.

Ephesians 1:13  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed (understood), ye were sealed with that holy Spirit (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) of promise,

1:14  Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory.

In verse 13, 'trusted'- is in italic text, which means it was added.

earnest- Down payment of the Spirit (2 Cor 5:5, Rom 8:23)

The purchased possession is the seed of Abraham. Not anybody and everybody.

The Greek:

12 For which we are to be in praise of His honor, who before had expectation in the Christ,

13  in whom you also, having heard the word of the truth – the good message of deliverance – in which also having believed, you have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of the promise,

14  which is a deposit of our inheritance, in regard to redemption of the possession, in praise of His honor.

Verse 12 is referring to those of the OT that believed the prophecies of their Kinsman Redeemer.

Verse 13 is referring to those alive hearing the message and witnessing the fulfillment of the OT prophecies and believing that they know they have life through their Kinsman Redeemer. The promise to Abraham fulfilled. The path to LIFE through Christ.

Verse 14 defines the son of Jacob as the redeemed possession and Christ was the deposit. It is up to us to follow His path and we will be sealed with LIFE.

The “churches” say 'everyone' is redeemed. But the scriptures say only Israelites.

Isaiah 43:1  But now thus saith Yahweh that created you, O Jacobl, and He that formed you, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you art Mine.

1:15  Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith (allegiance) in the Prince Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

Only Israelites are saints, set apart, called out, chosen, holy.

 1:16  Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

1:17  That the God of our Prince Jesus Christ, the Father of glory (honor), may give unto you the spirit (G4151 pneuma) of wisdom (knowledge and understanding) and revelation in the knowledge of Him:

Greek reads: 'in His knowledge'

It's more than, “just believing” in or of Him.

In verse 17, spirit  is G4151, the same word used in Holy Spirit. What is wisdom? Knowledge and understanding. Life.

Ephesians 4:29  Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace (delight) unto the hearers.

4:30  And grieve (distress) not the holy Spirit (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Isaiah 7:13  And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?

When we use corrupt communication, or destructive words, we do not edify our brethren. When we distress our brethren, we distress our God.

We cause friction between the flesh and the spirit and compromise the spiritual life of those involved. The goal is to edify each other and follow the path of LIFE. To follow the example of the Set apart Spirit. Yahshua Christ demonstrated that example.

1Thessalonians 4:6  That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Prince is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.

2Thessalonians 1:8  In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Prince Jesus Christ:

4:7  For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness (sanctification).

4:8  He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us His holy Spirit (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit). LIFE

The Holy Spirit is Life.

John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him (Thomas), I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.

There is no trinity, or 3 separate beings. Yahshua Christ is Yahweh in the flesh, and the Holy Spirit is the life force that is Yahweh. It is easier to think of these three as characteristics of Yahweh.

Just like Me, Myself and I.

Yahweh tells us through His name that, He Is, He will become whatever He wills to become.

He became a burning bush, a pillar of smoke and fire, our Kinsman Redeemer. He is was and always will be.

HOLY GHOST   90x   Which of course should read, Holy Spirit.

Matthew 1:18  Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together (consummation), she was found with child of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit).

1:19  Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.

1:20  But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel (messenger) of Yahweh appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, you son of David, fear not to take unto you Mary your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit).

Christ was a descendant of Adam. As is was Mary, and Joseph. Our race has the DNA of the Holy Spirit. Those not of our race are referred to as broken cisterns, vessels that cannot hold water (the Spirit/DNA). Christ was born into the race of Adam, and through Christ we have LIFE.

Matthew 3:11  I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), and with fire:   Mark 1:8  Luke 3:16

3:12  Whose fan is in His hand, and He will throughly purge His floor, and gather His wheat into the garner; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

The baptism of John, by water, is different than the baptism with the Holy Spirit, and fire.

John's purpose, as the last Levitical priest, was to cleanse the son of Levi, and prepare the last sacrifice, Christ.

Christ did not baptize with water, nor did the apostles. Baptizo means immersed. Immersed in what? Knowledge and understanding. Christ and the apostles immersed the people with the Word. It also says we will be baptized with fire. What's this all about?

When Christ returns, it will be Judgment Day. The purging fire will burn up all unrighteousness and the righteous will shine forth.

Hebrews 12:29  For our God is a consuming fire.

When we are baptized with the Holy Spirit, we have been given eyes to see and ears to hear. We are 'set apart' and His hagios pneuma dwells within us.

His remnant are the only true Christians. We are 'set apart' from among the goats.

Water, and a man, cannot do anything for you. Knowledge and understanding lead you to LIFE (the Set apart Spirit).

Matthew 12:31  Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) shall not be forgiven unto men.

12:32  And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.   Mark 3:29  Luke 12:10

Blasphemy in general is slander, whether in action or words, against Yahweh. As stated, these sins can be forgiven.

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is different, because it is unforgivable. Why? Because this type of blasphemy includes the sin of race mixing. Why? Because when a child of God's race mixes with one from another race, the DNA is broken. The result is a broken cistern, a vessel that cannot hold water. A strange vine, clouds without water, wells without water. Yahweh wants pure Adamic children, not bastards (Deut 23:2).

Matthew 28:19  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit):

The context is always the nations of Israel, the sons of Jacob, the white nations of the world today. The gospel is the message of the history and heritage of our family, the prophecies and fulfilling of those prophecies, and the reconciliation of all the nations of Israel all over the world. Water is not the context. Immersing them in the knowledge and understanding of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, so they may have LIFE.

If you have been baptized, and still don't have knowledge and understanding, what good was performing that pagan ritual? All these denominations and “churches” baptizing people, as if they have the authority, and yet nobody has knowledge and understanding. “Church” doctrine is not the same as scripture. It takes knowledge and understanding to discern that.

Mark 12:35  And Jesus answered and said, while He taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the Son of David?

12:36  For David himself said by the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), Yahweh said to my Master, Sit you on My right hand, till I make your enemies your footstool.

12:37  David therefore himself calleth him Master; and whence is He then his son? And the common people heard Him gladly.

They understood the heritage and prophecies.

Mark 13:11  But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit).  Luke 12:12

When we abide in The Way, the Spirit will guide us. The Spirit is Yahweh, Yahshua, it's part of our DNA. When we follow, we have LIFE.

Luke 1:15  For he (John the Baptist) shall be great in the sight of the Prince, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), even from his mother's womb.

John was an Israelite of the tribe of Levi, with the DNA of the Spirit. Filled with the Spirit.

The disposition or influence which fills and governs the soul.

Luke 1:35  And the angel (messenger) answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) shall come upon you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you: therefore also that holy thing (G40- hagios)(Set-apart One) which shall be born of you shall be called the Son of God.

Adam was also the “Son of Yahweh”, as we read in Luke 3:38. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians chapter 15:45 “And just as it is written, “The first man Adam came into a living soul,” the last Adam into a life producing Spirit.” While all Anglo-Saxon Adamic people are children of God, as it is attested in Scripture, only two men had come directly from God Himself, the first Adam, and Christ, and for that reason Paul calls Christ the “last Adam”.

The Holy Spirit is a life producing Spirit. It is the DNA of our family. The family of Yahweh. We are a Set apart people who worship a Set apart God. We were set apart from the other races and commanded not to mingle with them, and our God Yahweh is to be set apart from all other gods. We are His people, He is our God. We are a holy (set apart) people, He is a Holy (set apart) God. When we follow His commands and ways, we are preserved and blessed with His  (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit).

Luke 1:41  And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit):

When these Israelite women with their children came together, they were all imbued with the force and power of the Spirit.

Luke 1:67  And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), and prophesied, saying,

1:68  Blessed be Yahweh God of Israel; for He hath visited and redeemed His people,

Isaiah 43:1  But now thus saith Yahweh that created thee, O Jacob, and He that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

 1:69  And hath raised up an horn of salvation (preservation) for us in the house of His servant David;

David was of the tribe of Judah, as is Christ, and up through to Queen Elizabeth II.

Zacharias, an obedient Israelite with the DNA of Yahweh, was filled with the force and power of the Set apart Spirit.

Luke 2:25  And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) was upon him.

2:26  And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ (the Anointed Prince).

Simeon was a devout Israelite who knew his heritage and the prophecies, and it was rewarded to him, before his death, to see his Kinsman Redeemer.

Christ was just a baby, and no man can see Yahweh's face, so what was upon him, and what was it that was revealed to him? The Holy Spirit, the power, the force, the spiritual nature of Yahweh.

Luke 3:22  And the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven (the sky), which said, Thou art My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.

Christ did not repent when He came to John the Baptist. When John performed the cleansing ritual on Christ, He was prepared for sacrifice.

Luke 4:1  And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit (G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit implied) into the wilderness,

4:2  Being forty days tempted (tested) of the devil.

The Devil tested Eve when she was clothed in Shekinah Glory. And she failed, as did Adam, and they lost their immortality. That is why Christ had to die, so we may regain our Shekinah Glory.

Notice in verse 1, Holy Ghost and Spirit, both are G40, but G4151 is left off the second time.

John 1:32  And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit (G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit implied) descending from heaven (the sky) like a dove, and it abode upon Him.

1:33  And I knew Him not: but He that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom you shalt see the Spirit (G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit implied)  descending, and remaining on Him, the same is He which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit).

1:34  And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

The Spirit, the force, the power and animation covering Him. John witnessed this, the other people did not necessarily have eyes or ears to witness this. Just as Paul's companions did not see or hear what Paul did during his conversion on the road to Damascus.

John 7:37  In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink.  (Isa 55:1)

7:38  He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Deuteronomy 18:15  Yahweh thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto Him ye shall hearken;

Proverbs 18:4  The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.

7:39  (But this spake He of the Spirit (G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit implied) , which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Many Israelites had forgotten their heritage and the prophecies, they were 'poor in spirit'.

A spirit, i.e. a simple essence, devoid of all or at least all grosser matter, and possessed of the power of knowing, desiring, deciding, and acting.

Once Christ died, the people came to understanding and remembrance.

John 14:26  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

We will remember because we forgot.

The Comforter is the Holy Spirit, which is Yahshua Christ, who is Yahweh.

He spoke to our ancestors by His angels and prophets. He spoke through the Levitical priesthood. Since Christ died, He speaks to us by the Spirit. Only we who have the frequency (DNA/Spirit) can receive the message. When we follow it, we access LIFE. We will regain our Shekinah Glory.

Acts 1:1  The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus , of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

This was not an individual, it is a greeting, like 'Dear reader', it means Lover of Yahweh.

1:2  Until the day in which He was taken up, after that He through the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) had given commandments unto the apostles whom He had chosen:

1:3  To whom also He shewed Himself alive after His passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:  (Mark 16:14)

Not pertaining to “personal salvation” as the “churches” teach. The scriptures do not teach “personal salvation”.

1:4  And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith He, ye have heard of Me.

1:5  For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(the Set-apart Spirit) not many days hence.

This is the first transition explained in Acts. John baptized with water, because he was a Levitical Priest, and the last one. The priests washed the sacrifices. After Christ died, these ordinances and rituals were done away with because He was the last sacrifice.

John's baptism with water was different then the baptism, or immersion of the word, or Holy Spirit. In other words, immersed in the truth with understanding. The apostles called to remembrance what they learned after they were immersed with the Holy Spirit.

1:6  When they therefore were come together, they asked of Him, saying, Prince, wilt Thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

See, they still did not understand what was happening yet.

1:7  And He said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in His own power.

1:8  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The work and power of truth and understanding, LIFE. Christ left physically, but He guides us with His Spirit, which is picked up when our frequency is tuned to righteous channels.

Acts 1:16  Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

Judas Iscariot. Who was an Edomite Jew. Who sold Christ for 30 pieces of silver.

Psalm 41:9  Yea, Mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of My bread, hath lifted up his heel against Me.

So Christ spoke by the mouth of David? Of course, Christ is Yahweh who is also the Spirit.

Acts 2:1  And when the day of Pentecost (50th day from Passover and the crucifixion) was fully come, they were all with one accord (together) in one place.

2:4  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit (G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit implied)  gave them utterance.

They all understood each other. These were Israelites that came from outside Judaea, such as Greece, and spoke different languages. The Holy Spirit enabled them to understand each other.

Acts 2:32  This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

2:33  Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), He hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

2:34  For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, Yahweh said unto my Master, Sit thou on my right hand,

2:35  Until I make thy foes thy footstool.  (Psa 110:1)

David is still in hell (the grave). Just like everyone else who has died. Hell, as in a burning place of Satan, is a concoction of Catholicism.

2:36  Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Yahshua, whom ye have crucified, both His Prince and Christ.

2:37  Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren (Men, brothers), what shall we do?

2:38  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit).

When you are immersed in true knowledge and understanding, only then can you receive the presence of the Holy Spirit. When we lack knowledge, we lack life.

Hosea 4:6  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject you,

Water, and some man dunking you in it does not give you knowledge, understanding, or the Set apart Spirit. If that were the case, the “churches” should be filled with knowledgeable, influential and righteous people. But, quite the opposite. The “churches” are filled with apostasy, ignorance, blasphemy, arrogance, and unclean spirits. Unlearned pagans worshiping a Jewish Jesus, believing they are 'saved Gentiles' and awaiting the 'rapture'.

Acts 4:6  And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

These kindred are defined by Christ Himself as the seed of the wicked one. He is referring to Satan's children. These priests were Jews (Edomites/Canaanites) that infiltrated the religious sects of Judaea when the children of Israel were in Babylonian captivity, outside of Judaea. When they came back, after the Medes and Persians defeated the Babylonians, they had to clean house (see Ezra and Nehemiah). But obviously the “thorns” were always in our sides. Our government and leadership today has been infiltrated just like back then with these Edomite/Canaanites. 90% of our politicians and lawmakers are Jews! Ruling over us like back then.

4:7  And when they (Edomite priests)  had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

Luke 12:11  And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

12  For the Set apart Spirit shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

4:8  Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

 4:9  If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

4:10  Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by Him doth this man stand here before you whole.

So Peter was having a very powerful sermon, healing the lame man, etc. and the Edomite rulers were getting jealous.

Christ gave the apostles power through the Spirit, possessed of the power of knowing, desiring, deciding, and acting.

Acts 4:31  And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), and they spake the word of God with boldness.

The power of the Spirit is known when the allegiance (faith) is strong.

Acts 5:3  But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Ananias and his wife lied to the character of the Holy Spirit. Doing something in the name of Yahweh and being sneaky about it is not the influence of the Spirit. It does not lead to LIFE. He and his wife straightway fell down and died.

Acts 5:32  And we are His witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), whom God hath given to them that obey Him.

Those that obey Him receive the Holy Spirit, Christ can abide in a temple that obeys.

The 'we' and the 'them' are Israelites. The 'so is' is in italics, meaning added by the translators. We are Christ's and the Holy Spirit's witnesses.

Acts 6:3  Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.

6:4  But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

6:5  And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

6:6  Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.

6:7  And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Faith is a noun, belief and trust, which are verbs, are components of faith, but faith is simply 'allegiance'. Allegiance is more than trust and belief, it requires action, practice and loyalty.

6:8  And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

With obedience comes allegiance and power. The Spirit of Yahweh abiding in you. Energizing the Spirit (DNA) within you, leading you to LIFE.

Acts 7:51  Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit): as your fathers did, so do ye.

7:52  Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

7:53  Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.

7:54  When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

7:55  But he, being full of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

7:56  And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

7:57  Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,

7:58  And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.

Paul was a young man and present at Stephen's stoning.

7:59  And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Prince Jesus, receive my spirit (G4151- pneuma).

Psalm 31:5  Into Thine hand I commit my spirit (ruach): Thou hast redeemed me, O Yahweh God of truth.

Stephen was stoned because he was filled with the truth and proclaiming it, just like Christ did.

Acts 8:14  Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

8:15  Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit):

8:16  (For as yet He was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Prince Jesus.)

They were baptized but did not receive the Spirit yet. Showing that it is not the water that cleanses but the immersion in the knowledge and understanding of the Spirit.

8:17  Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit).

8:18  And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) was given, he offered them money,

8:19  Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit).

People rely on water, man, and money to receive the Holy Spirit. All it takes is prayer, repentance, seeking and study, knowledge and understanding, and conformity and practice.

Acts 9:17  And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Prince, even Jesus, that appeared unto you in the way as you camest, hath sent me, that you mightest receive your sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit).

Christ immersed Paul with knowledge and understanding. Paul was chosen by Yahweh to be the apostle to the Israelites outside Judaea.

Acts 9:31  Then had the churches (assemblies) rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Prince, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), were multiplied.

The Israelites were returning to their roots, and being blessed for it.

Acts 10:37  That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;

10:38  How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him.

10:44  While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) fell on all them which heard the word.

10:45  And they of the circumcision (nations of Judah) which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles (dispersed nations of Israel) also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit).

10:46  For they heard them speak with tongues (in languages), and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

10:47  Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) as well as we?

1Corinthians 1:17  For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

As was stated earlier, the book of Acts is a book of transition. This vision in chapter 10 was showing that the House of Judah (those near) and Israel (those afar) were reconciled under the New Covenant (2 Cor 5:18). Many Israelites did not understand that the rituals and oblations were to cease. (Dan 9:27)

They also did not understand that water baptism was done only by John to cleanse the Levitical priesthood and for preparing Christ.

This is the last time water baptism is used. The apostles that understood taught this from here on out.

Acts 11:15  And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

11:16  Then remembered I the word of the Prince, how that He said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit).

Two separate baptisms. One by John, a Levitical priest, with water, for Christ. The other with the knowledge and understanding of the Holy Spirit. Immersed in Truth.

Acts 11:22  Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church (assembly) which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.

11:23  Who, when he came, and had seen the grace (favor) of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Prince.

11:24  For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) and of faith (allegiance, moral conviction): and much people was added unto the Prince.

The message of redemption to all the Nations of Israel was spreading, and they were becoming reacquainted with the spirit and law on their heart.

The scriptures prophesy that Israelites bring the word to the world (Adamic society). And we are seeing proof here. The Jews deny the scriptures for their 'doctrines of men' and have NEVER brought the gospel to anyone.

Acts 13:2  As they ministered to the Prince, and fasted, the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) said, Separate Me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

13:3  And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

13:4  So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

Acts 13:8  But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.

13:9  Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), set his eyes on him,

13:10  And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Prince?

When we call out and expose the evil, we are accessing the power, knowledge and understanding of the Spirit.

Acts 13:49  And the word of the Prince was published throughout all the region.

13:50  But the Judaeans (corrupt religious rulers) stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.

2Timothy 3:11  Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Prince delivered me.

13:51  But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.

13:52  And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit).

Matthew 5:10  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Acts 15:7  And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men, brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles (dispersed nations) by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

 15:8  And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), even as he did unto us;

15:9  And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith (assurance).

Romans 10:12  For there is no difference between the Judaean and the Greek: for the same Prince over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.

'Gentiles' is incorrect and a deceptive word. It only means a nation or race of people.

The “Gentiles” when used in the context of the gospel, are referring to the Israelites that settled outside Judaea and lost and/or forgot their heritage. They were pagans.

The covenants and promises were made to all Israelites.

Acts 15:24  Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:

15:25  It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

15:26  Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Prince Yahshua the Anointed.

We must not  burden ourselves with the old rituals that were expired at the cross.

15:27  We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.

 15:28  For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

15:29  That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication (race mixing): from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

The context is not the 10 commandments, it is the Levitical rituals of sacrifice, circumcision, and other priestly functions that expired. Christ is now our High Priest and mediator. The food laws were also still in effect as a true Israelite Christian would not eat unclean animals. The context is about eating meat offered to idols, eating blood, and animals that were strangled. All are violations of the law. Even the Holy Spirit agrees.

Acts 16:6  Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) to preach the word in Asia,

Asia was not China, Korea, Japan. It was the Roman province of Anatolia. Israelite kinsmen.

They were to go to Macedonia first.

16:7  After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit (G4151- pneuma)(Set apart Spirit implied) suffered them not.

16:8  And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas.

16:9  And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.

16:10  And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Prince had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

These would be Israelites living in Macedonia.

Acts 19:1  And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

19:2  He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit).

19:3  And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

This verse is another proof that water baptism does nothing. They did not receive the Holy Spirit yet.

19:4  Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on Him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.  (Matt 3:11)

19:5  When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Prince Jesus.

So did they get dunked in water twice? Certainly not. But dunked in the Word, with knowledge and understanding.

19:6  And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Don't forget there was more than one language then. Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, Latin, etc. They simply understood each other.

Acts 20:22  And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit (G4151- pneuma) unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:

20:23  Save that the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(the Set-apart Spirit) witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.

20:28  Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(the Set-apart Spirit) hath made you overseers, to feed the church (assembly) of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood.

1Timothy 4:16  Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save (preserve) thyself, and them that hear thee.

Keep the doctrine, follow it, feed it to your brethren, and it will preserve you and give you LIFE.

Acts 21:8  And the next day we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him.

21:9  And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.

Joel 2:28  And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My spirit upon all flesh (of Israel); and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

21:10  And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus.

21:11  And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), So shall the Judaeans at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles (nations).

Verse 11 is a prophecy of events that would happen in verse 33.

Acts 28:23  And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

28:24  And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.

28:25  And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) by Isaiah the prophet unto our fathers,

28:26  Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:

28:27  For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.  Isaiah 6:9-10

The Holy Spirit is found all over scripture, demonstrating that Yahweh is the great I AM. He will be whomever He wills Himself to Be.

Romans 5:1  Therefore being justified by faith (allegiance), we have peace with Yahweh God through our Prince Jesus Christ:

5:2  By whom also we have access by faith (allegiance) into this grace (favor) wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory (honor) of God.

We must have allegiance to access the favor.

 5:3  And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

5:4  And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

5:5  And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) which is given unto us.

We must turn to the Greek for verses 3-5.

3  And not only, but we should also boast in afflictions, knowing that affliction results in endurance;

4  and the endurance a tried character, and the tried character an expectation;

5  and the expectation does not disgrace, because the love of Yahweh has been poured into our hearts through the Set-apart Spirit which is given to us:

We will go through tribulation.

Matthew 5:11  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake.

James 1:12  Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Prince hath promised to them that love Him.

When we follow, proclaim and uphold The Way, we are performing our duty. This allows us to receive the blessings and benefits of the Holy Spirit. We have access to LIFE.

Romans 9:1  I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit),

While Christ means anointed, as in the Anointed One of Israel, the KJV translators should have rendered this 'I speak the truth among the Anointed,' referring to the group, the called out, or anointed seed of Abraham. Israelites (of the 12 tribes). Paul is in his letter to the Romans, speaking to the Israelites, both of the circumcised (Judaeans) and the uncircumcised (Greeks, who are just some of the dispersed 10). He is the apostle to the Nations (of the 12 tribes). The other apostles mostly brought the gospel to the Judaeans. Paul brought the gospel to the dispersed nations (outside Judaea), descendants of those who left early and were not part of the Exodus and missed the experiences that the Judaeans went through. He is “grafting” the Nations back in. The Romans were Zarah Judahites that settled Troy and Rome while their brethren were in the Exodus. Hence, 'wild olives'.

Romans 14:17  For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit).

14:18  For he that in these things (righteousness)  serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.

2Corinthians 8:21  Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Prince, but also in the sight of men.

14:19  Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify (build, support) another.

The context is about disputes over eating meat offered to idols. Unless you had a farm, you got your meat at the market which was attached to the temple where the animals were sacrificed to gods. Paul was teaching that if it bothered your conscience, don't buy it. If it doesn't bother you, just buy it, bring it home, pray over it, and eat it. But don't look down on your brethren for it. Brotherly love builds relations with the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13  Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope (expectation), through the power of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit).

The 'expectation' is from knowing your heritage and what you can expect, if you follow and seek Christ.

15:14  And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

2Peter 1:12  Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.

15:15  Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace (favor) that is given to me of God,

15:16  That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles (dispersed Nations of Israel), ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles (dispersed Nations) might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit).

15:20  Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:

15:21  But as it is written, To whom He was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.

The dispersed nations of Israel did not hear or see because they did not return to Judaea after the Exodus, and the Assyrian and Babylonian captivities. Centuries of living outside the commonwealth of Israel and becoming pagans, these dispersed nations of Israel forgot their heritage and God. They Even forgot that they were Israelites.

1Corinthians 2:9  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.

John 14:15  If ye love Me, keep My commandments.

Isaiah 64:4  For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what He hath prepared for him that waiteth for Him.

2:10  But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit (G4151- pneuma)(Set apart Spirit implied): for the Spirit (G4151- pneuma)(Set apart Spirit implied) searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

The 'us' here is those with the spirit breathed into them. Adam. Descendants of Adam.

2:11  For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit (G4151- pneuma) of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit (G4151- pneuma)(Set apart Spirit implied) of God.

If you don't have the Spirit (DNA), you can't know God.

Proverbs 20:27  The spirit of man is the candle of Yahweh, searching all the inward parts of the belly.

2:12  Now we have received, not the spirit (G4151- pneuma) of the world (society), but the spirit (G4151- pneuma) which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

A chosen seed with exclusive promises.

2:13  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) teacheth; comparing spiritual (G4152- pneumatikos) things with spiritual (G4152- pneumatikos).

Spiritual comes from G4152. The race of Adam, which has the Spirit (DNA) are the children of the Spirit.

Relating to the Adamic spirit, or rational soul, as part of the man which is akin to God and serves as his instrument or organ.

Holy Spirit comes from  (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit). There is a direct relationship with the race of Adam, and Yahweh. The same Spirit (DNA). The family of Yahweh.

Those that do not have the Spirit, cannot understand things of the Spirit.

1Corinthians 6:17  But he that is joined unto the Prince is one spirit (G4151- pneuma).

6:18  Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without (outside) the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

Fornication is also race mixing. The result is a broken cistern.

6:19  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

6:20  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit (G4151- pneuma), which are God's.

We are Yahweh's temple, He bought us with Christ's death, we must take care of what is His, by following His rules. He wants our bodies clean and obedient.

Isaiah 43:1  But now thus saith Yahweh that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art Mine.

Jeremiah 18:6  O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith Yahweh. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in Mine hand, O house of Israel.

Diversities of gifts and talents

1Corinthians 12:1  Now concerning spiritual (G4152- pneumatikos) gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

Paul refers to the Corinthians as brethren, the same kin or race, the only race with Yahweh's Spirit.

12:2  Ye know that ye were (a people, a nation), carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

12:3  Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit (G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit implied) of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Prince, but by the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(the Set-apart Spirit).

Mark 9:39  But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in My name, that can lightly speak evil of Me.

12:4  Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit (G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit implied).

Paul is saying that every Israelite has different gifts, but the same Spirit. (DNA)

2Corinthians 6:4  But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers (servants) of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

We suffer for standing for the truth.

 6:5  In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;

Lot's of tribulations.

6:6  By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), by love unfeigned,

6:7  By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

 6:8  By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;

 6:9  As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

6:10  As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

The Holy Spirit approves when we live according to the Holy Spirit.

2Corinthians 13:14  The grace (favor) of the Prince Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), be with you all. Amen.

The Holy Spirit communes with those that love Yahweh and their brethren.

1Thessalonians 1:5  For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

How they conducted themselves in Thessalonica when they were there.

1:6  And ye became followers (imitators) of us, and of the Prince, having received (accepted) the word in much affliction (tribulation), with joy of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit):

Our test here as mortals is to imitate our Prince.

1Corinthians 4:16  Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers (imitators) of me.

Philippians 3:17  Brethren, be followers (imitators) together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an example.

We will go through tribulation for it, and attain honor.

2Timothy 1:12  For which cause also I suffer these things, but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I believe, and I am persuaded that He is able to keep my deposit for that day.

Paul was not ashamed to teach through the sufferings of trying to get those ignorant Israelites to understand and remember their heritage. (Eph 3:1)

1:13  Hold fast the form of sound words, which you hast heard of me, in faith (allegiance, moral conviction) and love which is in Christ Jesus.

1:14  That good thing which was committed unto you keep by the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) which dwelleth in us.

Only Adam's race had Yahweh's Spirit (DNA) breathed into us.

Romans 8:11  But if the Spirit (DNA) of Him (Yahweh) that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Set apart Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Titus 3:4  But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

 3:5  Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of (renewal by) the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit);

3:6  Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;  (Ez 36:25)

Our preservation is because of the promises made to Abraham regarding his seed. Our preservation does not come from our works, our duty is our works, but our salvation is not because of us doing them, we are supposed to do them.

Does the Holy Spirit need renewing, or do we who have the Spirit need renewing?

We are renewed when we have knowledge and understanding and follow The Way.

Hebrews 2:4  God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), according to His own will?

Verse 4 should not be a question.

The Greek: 4  Yahweh joining in testimony with both signs and wonders and various works of power, and apportionments of Set apart Spirit in accordance with His will. (Mark 16:20, Acts 2:22)

When we are obedient, we receive His Spirit, which energizes ours.

Hebrews 3:7  Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) saith, To day if ye will hear His voice,

3:8  Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation (rebellion), in the day of temptation (trial) in the wilderness (desert):  (Psa 95:7-8)

Referring to the days of Moses, the trial of Israel in the desert during the Exodus from Egypt.

Hebrews 6:4  For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit),

6:5  And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world (age) to come, (the Kingdom)

6:6  If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.

Once you learn the truth, and fail to uphold it, then you are liable to be condemned. So much for “once saved, always saved”.

Referring to the 'unlearned', Paul was teaching that the rituals were done away with. To keep practicing them is to deny the sacrifice of our Prince.

Hebrews 9:6  Now when these things were thus ordained (prepared), the priests went always (continually) into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

Paul is describing the way in which the priesthood operated.

9:7  But into the second (tabernacle, veil) went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:  (Ex 30:10)

The Greek ends this verse as: '...and the faults of ignorance of the people;

9:8  The Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

The transition from the ritual laws and the earthly tabernacles, into the Holy Spirit inhabiting the new tabernacle, our bodies.

In other words, in the Old Covenant, the Levitical priesthood made atonement for the people as well as themselves. The New Covenant replaced the Old because Christ was the last sacrifice, and then became our High Priest. That's why the rituals ceased. Not the law and commandments.

Hebrews 10:15  Whereof the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

 10:16  This is the covenant that I will make with them (the 12 tribes) after those days, saith Yahweh, I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

10:17  And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

10:18  Now where remission of these (sin) is, there is no more offering for sin.

They did not need to perform ritual offerings anymore, walking in His example is what He desires. Striving for righteousness.

10:19  Having therefore, brethren, boldness (liberty) to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

 10:20  By a new and living way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh;

John 10:9  I am the door: by Me if any man enter in, He shall be saved (preserved), and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

 10:21  And having an high priest (Christ) over the house of God;

10:22  Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith (moral conviction), having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water (the Word).

1Peter 1:12  Unto whom (the prophets) it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit) sent down from heaven (the sky); which things the angels (messengers) desire to look into.

The Holy Spirit will always guide the people of the Spirit. In one form or another, Yahweh will always be there for us.

2Peter 1:21  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit).

The holy men of Yahweh were indeed inspired. The translators throughout time, however is another thing.

2Timothy 3:16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2Timothy 2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Studying and searching the scripture. Not “just believing”. Not taking your preachers word for it.

1John 5:7  For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

5:8  And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit (G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit implied), and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

The Greek only records: 7  For there are three bearing witness, 8  the Spirit and the water and the blood, and the three are in One.

The underlined of verses 7-8 are not in any manuscripts predating the 5th century. The Catholics added it to support their Trinitarian doctrine.

John 10:30  I and My Father are one.

TS2009 reads:   the Spirit, and the water, and the blood. And the three are in agreement.

Jude 1:20  But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy (G40- hagios set apart) faith (allegiance), praying in the Holy Ghost (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit),

Colossians 2:7  Rooted and built up in Him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

The Holy Spirit is Yahweh, Yahshua, our DNA, it's in the blood, it is the water (the Word), it is the very life force of our existence. When our spirit is united with the Holy Spirit, we are established in allegiance (the faith).

THE COMFORTER

G3875   paraklētos    par-ak'-lay-tos

An intercessor, consoler: - advocate, comforter.

John 14:15  If ye love Me, keep My commandments.

 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever;

14:17  Even the Spirit (G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit implied) of truth; whom the world (society) cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

14:18  I will not leave you comfortless (fatherless): I will come to you.

Our greatest family member will not leave us.

John 14:25  These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

14:26  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit (G40- hagios G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit), whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

We will remember because we forgot. The scriptures are our heritage. The gospel is our reminder.

John 15:26  But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit (G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit implied) of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, He shall testify of Me:

15:27  And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with Me from the beginning (of ministry).

John 16:7  Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient (an advantage) for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

The Comforter is no doubt the Holy Spirit.

It is possible that the last part of verse 7, and through to 15, is speaking of Paul (him). Paul was an advocate of the Holy Spirit.

16:8  And when he is come, he will reprove the world (society) of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

 16:9  Of sin, because they believe not on Me;

Paul will rebuke the society because of error, which he did.

Acts 2:22  Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by Him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

 16:10  Of righteousness, because I go to My Father, and ye see Me no more;

Paul convinced them of Christ's righteousness.

Acts 2:32  This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

16:11  Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

And Paul convicted, or charged the enemies of Christ that they are sentenced.

16:12  I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit (G4151- pneuma)(Set-apart Spirit implied) of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Paul was purged on the road to Damascus and became a powerful example in the name of the Prince. Filled with the Holy Spirit.

He was a purged branch.

John 15:2  Every branch in Me that beareth not fruit He taketh away (Saul): and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit (Paul).

16:14  He shall glorify Me: for he shall receive of Mine, and shall shew it unto you.

The Prince chose Paul to show us our heritage and the magnificence of our God.
